CAT EYE EYESHADOW: How To Use
The sharp cat eye look has made the average man become weak in their knees. Cat eyes can be sexy and seductive, suiting almost anyone provided that they are done in the right way. Cat eye makeup has been the staple of most of Hollywood’s glamorous women since the 1950s.
HOW TO USE CAT EYE EYESHADOW
Here are some items you will need to get a cat eye eyeshadow:
• Eye shadow base
• Eye shadow
• Liquid eyeliner
• Black eyeliner
• Mascara
The following are the basic steps that have to be followed in order to get the perfect cat eyes using cat eye eyeshadow.
Step 1: Use a light neutral base and highlight color and apply it all over the eyelids with a natural hair blending brush. Just where the eye protrudes, apply a healthy color of deeper shimmery bronze color to the eyelids. Using a smaller brush, apply the color exactly on the lids, each time taking the color lightly under the eyes as well. This will help balance the eyes and create a more emphasized look.
Step 2: For this step, you need to use a soft hand when applying the crease color. Be sure to take your time and not rush. Here, again, a dark color like that of a charcoal is useful. Apply this dark color to the outside edges of the eyes to create a smoky crease. For this you can use a natural hair crease brush and up-sweep the color almost to the edge of the brows a little at a time, until the desired depth and color is obtained. The color has to be blended in an upward motion to crease that elongated cat eye effect. We are halfway there, so proceed on!
Step 3: Dark and sultry eyeliner can be had by using a black gel liner. This applies more easily and looks much smoother than the liquid or pencil variety. Use a small angle brush, deposit the eyeliner on the top of the eyelids as close to the lash line as you possibly can and then glide the liner across the top lid. Starting at a thinner stroke at the inside of the eye, while increasingly thickening the line and angling it upwards towards the eyebrow, slide it towards the outer end of the eyes. This will help create the cat eyes effect. Then a black pencil liner is applied on the inside of the eye to give that smoky look. This is the third step on how to apply cat eye eyeshadow.
Step 4: As reach our final step in how to apply cat eye eyeshadow, use some lengthening and thickening mascara to finish off your look. Now look at yourself in the mirror. Are you happy with what you see? It did not seem like such an arduous task, did it? Congratulations!
