As a general rule, a balanced look can only be achieved given that foundation is applied. In order to properly and accordingly apply makeup foundation, you will have to use a make up sponge. A lot of people tend to commit mistake by applying makeup foundation with the use of their fingers. One bad effect to using one’s fingers when applying foundation is that your fingers can in fact contaminate the foundation thus leading to its color change. Aside from this, different impurities may also develop from the contamination of the foundation. Thus when applying foundation you have to use a makeup sponge. Apply the foundation all over your face making sure to smoothen and even it out from your hairline up to your jaw line. Although you might be using a reputable foundation, if you don’t smoothen and even it out, you can still get lines near your hairline and along your jaw line. This is where the importance of a make up sponge also comes in.

After the foundation, turn to work on your brow color, make sure you use a brow gel. This will help groom your brows. A highlighter should also be used when working on your brow color. To hide wrinkles and other undesirable lines, use a highlighter with a lighter shade. Next is the application of the eye make up. To create a really good effect with your eyes, you should start with three shades or colors. Blend these together and apply onto your eyelids. Lighter shades are preferable during the day while bolder and darker one during the night. Next, select a shadow that is two shades darker as compared to the first and then apply this from the crease of the eye to the brow bone. Afterwards, select a lighter shade as compared to the first and apply this from the second color to the eyebrows.
Following this, you can add the finishing touches. Use your eyeliner to add more structure to the whole effect. Make sure that your eye liner has firm bristle brush since this can create an effect like you don’t in fact have eyeliner. This can create a more natural look. Take these things into mind and you’ll surely look better.
